ABOUT MONTANA SAPPHIRES
First discovered in 1865, Montana sapphires have long been associated with beautiful hues of teal, blue, and green.
More recently, these colours have grown favour which has in turn created a strong demand across the globe. However, it must be noted that most Montana Sapphires are heated in order to produce its brilliance and colour.
Although, unheated Montana Sapphires are also available but typically exhibits a softer, pastel tones.
HOW SAPPHIRES ARE MINED, SOURCE AND PROCESSED
The Sorbet Sapphire community only work with mining companies and cutting houses that are well-established, respected and trusted within the sapphire industry.
Although sapphires can be found throughout Montana today, the majority of our beautiful sapphire finds can be attributed to these major locales: Eldorado Bar and Rock Creek.
